The summer is ending! School is almost here, you'd like to be sitting on the beach, enjoying the sun, and hanging out with friends and family. But whether your student is in high school or already in college, one of the best things you can do is to make wise choices now to help your student avoid staggering debt after graduation.

High school students should spend time preparing for the SATs and PSATs. Good ACT/SAT scores usually mean better financial aid packages from colleges. College students, be aware of how much money you're spending on back-to-school shopping! It can really add up if you're not careful. If you can, buy used books from other students or online instead of the college bookstore.

Check out some of our articles that will help you and your family make smart college decisions.
